About this trip

Accommodations were amazing with a chef that prepared the best food each day for us. Serving the kids and families was a great experience that included playground building, home visits, playing with kids, giving out food while sharing stories from the Bible. Staff handled everything and were all very kind and helpful. Definitely a well done trip and we would go again!

KATW Ecuador GO TRIP

This was an amazing trip.  Kid Around the World is a great origination and had every detail covered.  Building a playground and ministering to the children is an experience you will remember for the rest of your life.  I would highly recommend doing a trip with Kid Around the World if want an opportunity to give back and see that are still good things happening in our world.

North Coast Calvary Chapel Panama Trip

I highly recommend partnering with KATW. 

5+ experience! I have been on a lot of service trips but none compares to what Steve and his team created. From pick up to drop off, the logistics were spot on. We built a playground in 2 days and I thought it would take months. We had fun, worked hard and connected with the community. I felt 100% safe the entire time. Kristy our interpreter was beyond patient and so caring. The bus was safe and well equipped. I honestly can’t say anything went wrong. The perfect trip!

This trip was excellent! We were very well taken care of. The Ecuadorian team was so wonderful, we were sad to leave them. Would definitely go again!

My heart is still in Ecuador! We had such an amazing time and got to see God move and work in people's lives. The joy of the kids and hospitality of all was overwhelming. 

The accomodations and food were great as usual. However, several of us ended up with some stomach issues. Not sure if it was a bug or something we ingested, but most are pretty much back to normal now. 

We had a little hiccup when we arrived in Ecuador. They said we should have had documentation for our soccer balls and supplies and should have paid taxes. Still not sure what all that was about, but they let us through with them!

Southridge Church

This was the 10th  mission trip for our church but the first with KATW. We were amazed at how "pampered" we were. The hotel was over the top beautiful, every single person we encountered was more than helpful, and the food was delicious and abundant. We couldn't ask for more.

Monroe Bible Church D.R. Trip

the trip to the DR and the La Romana area was amazing.  I met the most amazing people who ALL emanated the light of God, which was the most eye opening experience of the trip for me.  Esmilen, Manuel and their whole family impacted me the most, as they are so patient, so kind, so peaceful and no matter what was happening, they always had time to help someone else.  I will keep this feeling/experience with me forever.  thank you to Brian and everyone who was involved with this trip!

KATW Dominican Republic  GO TRIP

God blessed this trip and I can't wait to return to the Dominican Republic.  KATW is an awesome ministry that provides wonderful serving opportunities for people of all ages.  The sharing of the Gospel, discipling of kids and food distribution bless the community and the playground build is the cherry on top.  Seeing the kids at play on a project that our team collaborated on is overwhelming and an indescribable blessing.  The people of the Dominican Republic have an infectious joy.  From the KATW DR staffers to the local Pastor and his wife to the school leaders who welcomed our team with open arms to the kids who cheered our arrival, our trip could not have been any better.  

I had an amazing time in Ecuador!! Kids Around the World gave me an amazing experience for my first missions trip. The people, lodging, food, the work and all the laughter and fun in between. Sharing Jesus One Meal at a time with a fantastic organization. I can't wait for my next trip. 💜💚

The KATW visioning trip was extremely impactful. Valerie Bass is an inspired, engaging leader who made sure everyone felt a sense of purpose. Steve and Jackie were generous with their time and engagement, and made sure to build relational bridges across the board.

We had a wonderful experience. I love the crew in Ecuador. They are great to be with and knowledgable of the area. We stayed busy, but everything was planned out so well, even meals. We will do it over and over again!

The Ridge and KATW Honduras Trip

Our experience in Honduras with Kids Around the World was nothing short of incredible. From the moment we arrived, the energy, the teamwork, and the purpose behind every nut and bolt was contagious. We were there to build a playground—a safe, joy-filled space for kids who truly deserve it.

There were definitely moments we didn’t think we’d make the timeline. Between the heat, the language barrier, and the sheer size of the project, it felt like we were racing the clock. Just when it seemed like we might run out of time, something shifted. The team pulled together, locals jumped in, and piece by piece, it all came together—almost like God had His own schedule in mind.

The most unforgettable moment? Watching the kids swarm the finished playground, their laughter filling the air. It reminded me why this work matters. It’s not just about swings and slides—it’s about hope, joy, and showing a community they are seen and loved.

We will carry this trip with us forever.

The trip down to the Dominican Republic was life-changing!  The accommodation at Casa Blanca in Cabrera was excellent.  Food and the staff were great!  We basically had the whole small hotel to ourselves.  Our ministry there was so rewarding!  The people with whom we worked there worked tirelessly to the glory of God!  I hope to be able to return someday to continue our ministry there.  Thank you so much for your loving care for our ministry team!  Hallelujah! 😃

Legacy Church

The most amazing experience thus far. We had those most incredible leader Brian Wahl, who made sure the trip was a overall success. Emmanuel & his family made us feel so accepted and at home. Even down to our personal driver Winer. He went the extra mile to help us feel safe and protected. We were so blown away by our time together as a team to help build the playground in D.R. We loved having a well balance time to get to know each other, build playground, explore during our little down time, and pour into the children of D.R. My favorite day was the day we dedicated the playground. Such intentionality and purpose behind such a special moment. I loved that the playground was at the school and we were able to interact with the children daily. Our trip could not have went any better and it was truly a blessing to be a part of something so meaningful. There is not a day that has passed that I have not thought about the kids we met. The joy, laughter, and love on their faces is an engraved memory in my heart that I will treasure for life. I never knew what I was missing, I am more complete today because of this trip and the experience it gave. Thank you so much Kids Around the World for everything you do. You are helping to change the lives of kids and communities at a whole. Thank you for allowing us to go and be a part of something so much bigger than ourselves.
